How One Options Trader Earned A 100% Return In The Last 8 Months

Are you looking for ways to add more punch to your portfolio’s performance? If so, then you’ll want to check out how one professional options trader is making great returns despite turbulent market conditions.

The Options Trader — Eric Ferguson

Eric Ferguson is a stock market researcher and options swing trader who recently reported an inspiring portfolio performance.

On his options-picking service website, Mindful Trader, Ferguson reports that his options portfolio has grown by 100% over the past eight months.

The performance is difficult to ignore considering that the average gain of the market over the last 30 years has been 9.72%

Are Ferguson’s Results Even Real?

In a world where 97% of day traders lose money, it’s easy to be suspicious every time someone claims a “magic formula” for the markets.

The first question that arises upon being presented with such a performance is “Is this even real?”

Ferguson offers clear transparency. On his website, Mindful Trader, Ferguson maintains a ledger where he posts every trade, regardless of the trade’s outcome.

His ledger demonstrates a return of 101.9% between November 1, 2022 and June 15, 2023.

Ferguson also alerts subscribers to his service about every trade he makes.  Through this service, members are able to verify in real-time that the trades are legitimate and are also able to get a piece of the action if they decide to follow Ferguson’s lead.

How Does Ferguson Do It?

Ferguson, a numbers guy, claims to use a back-tested and data-driven approach. His options picking strategy is based on historical probabilities and price movement tendencies.

Ferguson says, “I spent several years analyzing historical stock market price data. That effort revealed to me some trading strategies that, according to back tests, could have generated meaningful profits over the last couple of decades.”

He also attributes his success to being able to take a mindful approach to the markets. Emotions can often work against investors and active traders in the stock market.

Before trading, Ferguson explored mindfulness as a way to deal with ongoing panic attacks that he developed in adulthood. As he later got into active stock market investing, he realized the how beneficial mindfulness was for helping him to stay grounded when trading.

Options As An Investing Vehicle

An option is a leveraged trading instrument, which means it can offer large potential rewards but also comes with large potential risks.

Options contracts can be complex to master, even for seasoned traders. But Ferguson is trying to tackle that at Mindful Trader by offering simple trade setups for subscribers to potentially follow and learn from.

One of the biggest advantages the trading service offers is that Ferguson provides both entry and exit signals. This makes it extremely easy for members to follow along.

Ferguson’s time frame for holding a trade lasts about a week on average.

Ultimately, there are no guarantees when it comes to the stock market and options trading.  There is a high degree of risk involved. But for the last eight months, Ferguson has shown that it is possible to earn substantial returns.
