With BYD Company Limited BYDDY possibly dethroning Tesla Inc TSLA as the world’s biggest EV maker before 2023 comes to a close, the EV world seems to be in for a big power shift. Also, many new game-changing developments are on the horizon, such as a portable battery system COR that Worksport Ltd. WKSP(NASDAQ: WKSPW) is developing. Today, Worksport announced it made another step towards COR’s market release.
Worksport Announces COR’s Market Release Is Another Step Closer
With the market release on the horizon, Worksport revealed its groundbreaking COR portable battery system has officially transitioned into the Test Phase. It will be now undergoing extensive testing to make sure it is a resilient and durable battery solution. With the possibility of being used within a pickup as well as independently, sed both within a pickup truck bed and independently, COR promises to meet a range of needs in today’s dynamic environment that is filled with diverse challenges. The launch of the Test Phase follows Worksport’s recent announcement of the COR system’s Alpha Release which implies the product being placed in real-world scenarios. Therefore, Worksport is not only undergoing testing to deliver a portable battery system and SOLIS solar-powered tonneau cover but also challenging the limitations of what is possible in terms of clean energy solutions that are available for vehicles, homes and businesses across the globe. Hyundai Motor Company HYMTF is among the first will get to use Worksport’s proprietary technology as a customized version of SOLIS, along with COR, will be made for its Santa Cruz pickup.
Hyundai Is Leading The Way In Thinking Outside The Box
Moreover, Hyundai is the first brand that will be offered on Amazon that will start selling cars next year. Hyundai and Amazon.com Inc AMZN announced their partnership during the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 16th. Shopping for a Hyundai on Amazon won’t eliminate the middlemen completely for those who want a test-run, but it will clear away pushy salesmen. Hyundai already began this year by launching an innovative its Evolve+ EV subscription service with which drivers can test out its EV line on a monthly basis without lease or purchase While benefiting from the enormous reach and market power that Amazon enjoys, Hyundai will also use Amazon Web Services as its preferred cloud provider. As of 2025, Hyundai will also integrate Amazon Alexa voice assistant in its next generation of vehicles.
Tesla undoubtedly led the EV revolution but it only sells only four cars, Model S and Model 3 sedans, along with Model X and Model Y SUVs. Before 2023 ends, it will be adding the Cybertruck to its EV portfolio. But, pickups are all about affordability and considering Tesla’s price tags, Cybertruck isn’t likely to play on that front, one where BYD rules with a diverse range of EVs to fit all kinds of pockets. Moreover, Worksport could also make an important contribution by empowering other electric pickup makers, like Hyundai, with its affordable SOLIS and COR accessories, possibly extending the range of vehicles.
