How To Play The Titanic: Premier Exhibitions To Cover Titanic In 3D (PRXI)

Premier Exhibitions, Inc. PRXI is going to feature the Titanic as it's never been seen before. According to a report from Reuters, the company will use 3D technology, cutting-edge robots, acoustic imaging, sonar technologies and high resolution optical, a team of experts from different organizations will repaint a much more detailed picture of the remains of the Titanic, which currently sits on the floor of the North Atlantic. The majority of this footage has never seen before. Interested parties can also read about the ongoing expedition at the website www.expeditiontitanic.com. The History channel is also going to produce a series dedicated to this as well. "About 40 percent we think -- maybe 50 percent -- of the Titanic site has never been looked at," said co-expedition leader Dave Gallo, director of special projects at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. "Everything to this point has been pretty much exploration, or adventure. We want to go into this area and understand where everything is and how it got there. It's going to be like the CSI of the underwater world," Gallo added. The RMS Titanic, which sank in 1912 to much fanfare, is actually a subsidiary of Premier Exhibitions, Inc. Premier is the only company allowed to recover objects from the wreck. Premier Exhibitions was given salvor-in-possession rights to the Titanic by a U.S. Federal Court nearly 15 years ago.
