Netflix To Offer Early Viewing Service

Netflix NFLX worked out a deal with Nu Image/Millennium Films to show movies before they are released on DVD when they would normally only be shown on pay-per-view or premium television channels, according to Business Times. Netflix has done deals with sometime rival TiVo Inc. TIVO to make movies available to consumers with TiVo recorders and Netflix accounts, for example. Netflix did not disclose pricing for this deal, through which it licenses movies from Nu Image/Millennium Group, which makes films like “The Expendables” and “Black Dahlia.” A film called “Son of No One” starring Channing Tatum and Al Pacino will be one of the first movies shown under the deal.
