Level 3 Names John M. Ryan as Chief Legal Officer

Level 3 Communications, Inc. LVLT today announced it has selected John M. Ryan as chief legal officer to succeed Thomas C. Stortz, who will be retiring at the end of the year. Ryan will be responsible for Level 3’s legal and regulatory functions worldwide. Ryan has been with Level 3 since 1999, and has more than 17 years of experience with legal issues specific to the telecommunications industry.
