The New York Times NYT announced today that Hugo Lindgren has been named editor of The New York Times Magazine effective October 25. He will report to New York Times Executive Editor Bill Keller.
“Hugo is a gifted editor and we are excited to have him take this journalistic treasure to its next incarnation,” said Mr. Keller. “With Hugo at the helm, The New York Times Magazine will remain one of the premier journalistic magazines in the country.”
Mr. Lindgren, 42, was executive editor of Bloomberg Businessweek since March 2010, where he helped conceive and manage a complete redesign of the magazine under new ownership.
