Resignation Of Sprint Executive From The Clearwire Board

Sprint executives are resigning from the Clearwire Board. In a research report Oppenheimer writes, "The big news story for the day was the resignation of Sprint executives from the Clearwire board. We believe this could be a precursor to CLWR signing a deal with T-Mobile which would be positive for CCI short-term and also to avoid having to consolidate results. In addition, we are publishing our 3Q10 earnings preview as we expect the sector to outperform through year-end, though we expect volatility during earnings. Finally, AT&T T lowered GoPhone plan prices to remain competitive in the prepaid space with per minute prices going to $0.10 from $0.25 and daily pricing to $2.00 from $3.00."
