Hudson City Bancorp, Inc. Announces Withdrawal of Application to Become a National Bank

Hudson City Bancorp, Inc. HCBK announced today that Hudson City withdrew its application to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to convert to a national bank. As a result, Hudson City will continue to operate as a federally chartered savings bank and Bancorp will continue as a saving and loan holding company.
