Webster Financial Announces Common Stock Offering at $18.00/sh

Webster Financial Corporation WBS, the holding company for Webster Bank, N.A., today announced the pricing of its previously announced underwritten public offering of 6,630,000 shares of its common stock at a price to the public of $18.00 per share. The offering is expected to close on or about December 27, 2010, subject to customary closing conditions. All of the shares in the offering are being offered by Webster.
