Shares of NXP Semiconductors NV NXPI surged about 7% after Dover Corp DOV agreed to purchase the Sound Solutions business line of NXPI for $855 million. The companies are expecting the deal to close in the first quarter of 2011. Shares of Navistar International Corp NAV gained about 3% after the company reported 55% y/y fall in its FQ4 net income. NAV reported its earnings at $0.54 per share. The results included $0.14 per share of costs associated with a new 4-year labor agreement. The company's revenue came in at $3.37 billion, up from $3.29 billion, in the year-ago period. However, analysts expected earnings of $0.60 per share on $3.21 billion of revenue. The US dollar moved up against the euro after a report depicted 5.6% rise in the US sales of existing homes. The dollar index (DXY) gained about 0.03% to 80.75, versus 80.711 late Tuesday. Against the greenback, the euro lost 0.0764% to $1.3084. Shares of Oxford Industries Inc OXM jumped about 25% after the company purchased Sugartown Worldwide, owned by Lilly Pulitzer. The terms of the deal were not disclosed by the company. J.
