Comcast, NBC Universal Merger Delayed Until At Least Next Month (CMCSA, GE)

According to the New York Times, the merger between Comcast CMSCA and General Electric's NBC Universal GE has been delayed until next month due to regulatory issues. “We have made substantial progress this month with both the FCC and the Department of Justice, and expect that we will get a ‘green light' in January,” said Jeff Zucker, NBC Universal chief executive. The delay is mostly about the reservations that the Department of Justice, and especially the Federal Communications Commission have about the deal.
