Toyota Settles Lawsuit (TM)

Toyota Motors TM is up 22 cents to $77.88, despite it settling a fatal car crash lawsuit for $10 million last week. The amount was agreed in September but kept private until now. Toyota did not admit or deny liability as part of the settlement. In its statement, the Japanese car maker said, "As is common in these cases, these parties agreed to keep the amount confidential, in part to protect the families from unwanted solicitations and to allow them to move on from this difficult period."
