Vodafone Lower In Pre-Market After Turkcell Comments On Turkey Market (VOD, TKC)

Shares of Vodafone VOD are ticking down this morning after Turkcell TKC made comments that it doesn't see any potential acquisition targets in the abroad, writes Bloomberg. "We are not standing close to buying a company," in neighboring countries, said Deputy Chief Executive Officer Koray Ozturkler. "There is no acquisition plan now." The “priority for 2011 will be developing our operations in Turkey and other existing operations abroad." Shares of VOD are off 34 cents in pre-market trading to $26.18, a loss of 1.28%.
