Cost Plus, Inc. CPWM announced its sales for the nine-week holiday period ended January 1, 2011 were $277.5 million compared to $260.7 million for the nine-week holiday period in fiscal 2009.
Same store sales for the nine-week holiday period increased 7.0% compared to a 0.3% increase for the nine-week period last year. The increase in same store sales was attributable to a 5.6% increase in customer count and a 1.3% increase in the average ticket per customer.
