Brown Shoe Promotes Diane M. Sullivan to CEO

Brown Shoe Company, Inc. BWS has promoted Diane M. Sullivan to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer effective May 26, 2011. Ron Fromm, the company's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, will remain Chairman of the Board following a transition period lasting through the company's annual shareholders' meeting in May 2011.
