Sears Surging On Heavy Volume (SHLD)

Shares of Eddie Lampert's Sears Holdings SHLD are surging on heavy volume during Tuesday's trading session after the company gave better than expected fourth quarter and full year earnings projections. SHLD sees annual earnings in a range between $1.16 and $1.88 per share which is well above Wall Street consensus of $0.88. For Q4 Sears sees adjusted EPS between $3.39 and $4.12 compared to analysts' estimates of $3.12. SHLD shares have jumped 6.80% to $75.40, but are off of their best levels of the session. Volume has been heavy with more than 1.5 million shares trading hands compared to a 3-month daily average of around 760,000.
