Baker Awarded Structure Design Contract Worth $688,000

The LPA Group of North Carolina, a unit of Michael Baker Corporation BKR, announced today that it has been selected by the North Carolina Department of Transportation to perform structure design work on a $688,000 contract for a 3,400-foot bridge on U.S. 70, Beaufort Bypass, Morehead City, Carteret County, North Carolina. Baker will be providing structure design including vessel impact analysis on this project which is in support of improved navigation for the North Carolina Port Authority Expansion Program. The project is expected to take between 12-18 months.
