Borders End Game (BGP)

According to the Wall Street Journal, it's game over for Borders Group, Inc. BGP. The newspaper is reporting that the company could file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection either Monday or Tuesday next week. As part of the restructuring, the company will close around 200 stores. Borders had recently received a $550 million lifeline to help it restructure from GE Capital GE Companies like Amazon AMZN and Barnes & Noble BKS will likely benefit from Borders' restructuring. Shares of Borders are responding to report, down 2 cents to 35 cents, a loss of 6.37%.
