Vivo Participacoes Announces Public Tender Offer for Common Shares

The management of Vivo Participacoes S.A. VIV announces that on February 16, 2011 the company submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission the Form 6-K relating to the tender offer by SP Telecomunicacoes LTDA to purchase for cash solely in Brazil all outstanding shares of common stock of Vivo, not already owned by Telefonica. SP Telecom is a holding company that controls Telecomunicacoes de Sao Paulo S.A. – Telesp.
