Newpark Resources Reports Net Income of $0.15 Per Diluted Share for the Fourth Quarter 2010

Newpark Resources, Inc. NR today announced results for its fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2010. Total revenues were $194.5 million for the fourth quarter of 2010 compared to $179.3 million for the third quarter of 2010 and $135.5 million for the fourth quarter of 2009. Net income for the fourth quarter of 2010 was $14.8 million, or $0.15 per diluted share, compared to net income for the third quarter of 2010 of $8.2 million, or $0.09 per diluted share, and net income for the fourth quarter of 2009 of $16,000, or break-even on a per share basis. For the full year 2010, total revenues were $716.0 million compared to $490.3 million for the full year 2009. Net income for the full year of 2010 was $41.6 million, or $0.46 per diluted share, compared to a net loss of $20.6 million, or $0.23 per diluted share, for 2009.
