Nucor Sees Q1 EPS of $0.30 to $0.35

Nucor Corporation NUE announced today guidance for its first quarter ending April 2, 2011. Nucor expects first quarter results to be in the range of $0.30 to $0.35 per diluted share, compared to earnings of $0.10 per diluted share in the first quarter of 2010 and a loss of $0.04 per diluted share in the fourth quarter of 2010.

Projected first quarter results include an estimated LIFO charge of $31 million ($0.06 per diluted share) compared to charges of $24 million in the first quarter of 2010 ($0.05 per diluted share) and $23 million in the fourth quarter of 2010 ($0.04 per diluted share).
