Today Netflix NFLX announced it would be getting first-run episodes of the TV series, "House of Cards," starring Academy Award winning actor Kevin Spacey.
It was speculated earlier in the week that Netflix would get the distrubtion deal, as it continues to seek ways to generate revenue from its 20 million subscribers.
Netflix didn't disclose how much it is paying Media Rights Capital, the studio behind "House of Cards," but some speculated it could cost as much as $100 million.
Netflix will have the right to stream 26 episodes of the show on its service.
Goldman Sachs put out a note on the company earlier this week, upgrading the stock, and putting a $300 price target on shares.
Shares are currently down $4.00 to $209.05.
