AT&T Inc. T announced yesterday it was buying T-Mobile USA from Deutsche Telekom AG for $39 billion in cash and stock, to create the country's biggest wireless carrier. The company's had a conference call this morning to discuss the merger, but the call was dropped. Boeing Co.'s BA newest 747 passenger jet flew yesterday, marking the third maiden flight of a new Boeing commercial airplane in the past 15 months. People were baffled when they said it went off without a hitch. They just assumed it was as present as the overweight guy in the middle seat.
