Could Google Buy Sprint? (GOOG, S)

According to this article from Deadzone, it could happen eventually. Google GOOG announced it would be building a fiber-optic network in Kansas City with connection speeds around 1 Gps, which is 100 times faster than what most people use. Sprint's S headquarters are in Overland Park, Kansas, which is just a stone's throw away from Kansas City. The author of the article believes that Google was trying to buy T-Mobile, but did not want to pony up the $39 billion AT&T T did. At $13.6 billion, Sprint's market cap is far lower, and Google probably wouldn't have to pay more than $20 billion for Sprint, including the premium.
