Mylan Launches Generic Version of Famvir® Tablets

Mylan Inc. MYL today announced that its subsidiary Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. has launched Famciclovir Tablets, 125 mg, 250 mg and 500 mg, the generic version of Novartis' Famvir® Tablets, a treatment for herpes. Famciclovir Tablets had U.S. sales of approximately $196 million for the 12 months ending Dec. 31, 2010, according to IMS Health.
