Did Howard Stringer Let Something Slip About The iPhone 5? (SNE, AAPL)

If this rumor from Boy Genius Report has any shed of truth to it, then Sony SNE CEO Howard Stringer may have let something slip about the next version of Apple's AAPL iconic iPhone. Stringer was speaking at a event in New York on Friday, and mentioned something to The Wall Street Journal's Walt Mossberg that turned on a few light bulbs. Stringer was talking about Sony's image sensor facility in Sendai, and the impact it had from the tragedies in Japan. Stringer said that it would effect the ability to get sensors out to partner companies, and used the Cupertino, Calif.-based company as an example. As far as anyone knows, Apple doesn't use camera modules from Sony. Friday was April Fool's day, and perhaps Stringer was pulling chains a little bit. There was no mention on tone or anything, so take this for what it's worth. The report was first mentioned at 9 to 5 Mac, and if true, would likely be an 8 megapixel camera from the Japanese company. I guess we'll have to wait and see until the first iPhone 5's ship, and someone cracks it open.
