Best Buy BBY sent out an email to Reward Zone customers today revealing that they had been informed by Epsilon, a company that Best Buy uses to send emails to its customers, that files containing the email addresses of some Best Buy customers were accessed without authorization. Essentially, the company experienced a security breach.
In the email, the company said that "We regret this has taken place and for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We take privacy very seriously, and we will continue to work diligently to protect your personal information."
During Monday's trading session, BBY shares have lost 1% to $28.36.
