Benzinga's After Hours Gainers (NSM, AD, ADM, IRE, LSI, CBST, ONNN, EXPE, MXIM, LLTC, ATML)

Monday's regular trading session was a quiet, very low volume affair. The same cannot be said, however, about the after hours session which has been extremely active after Texas Instruments TXN said it had struck a deal to buy National Semiconductor NSM for $6 billion. This sent NSM shares skyrocketing, up 72.64% to $24.29 after closing the regular trading session at $24.29. Many of the after hours gainers are trading higher as a result of the huge premium that TXN is paying for NSM. In other news, Cubist Pharmaceuticals CBST has risen 14.46% to $28.90 after settling its patent litigation with Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. with a licensing agreement allowing Teva to distribute a generic version of the antibiotic. Another mover that is not related to the Texas Instruments (TXN) takeover of National Semiconductor (NSM) is Expedia EXPE, which has surged 5.39% to $23.64 after announcing a distribution agreement with American Airlines. Below is a list of all the stocks that are moving higher in after hours trading on significant volume.
