Compass Minerals Announces Price Increases on Non-Deicing Consumer and Industrial Products (CMP)

North American Salt Company and Sifto Canada Corp., both subsidiaries of Compass Minerals CMP, have announced price increases on all non-deicing consumer and industrial packaged and bulk products, including agricultural, water conditioning, industrial and culinary salt products. Because of higher costs for sourced materials, such as packaging and ingredients, prices will increase $6 per short ton on packaged products and $3 per short ton on bulk products. The company will further increase prices by $8 per short ton for customers whose current pricing does not include a fuel surcharge. All price increases will be effective with shipments beginning June 6 or as contracts allow.
