The legal troubles at Wall Street titan Goldman Sachs GS may have just grown deeper.
Goldman has been subpoenaed by the Manhattan District Attorney's office and New York State in response to negative information that came to light in a Senate report that accused the bank of misleading buyers of mortgage-backed securities.
Goldman is cooperating “fully” with the subpoenas, Bloomberg News reported, citing authorities.
A request for a subpoena does not necessarily mean a company is the target of a criminal investigation.
