Universal Insurance Holdings Announces That American Platinum Has Received Approval of Rates

Universal Insurance Holdings UVE announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, American Platinum Property and Casualty Insurance Company has received approval of its rate filing from the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation. APPCIC intends to write homeowners' multi-peril and inland marine insurance on Florida homes valued in excess of $1 million, which are limits and coverages currently not targeted by its affiliate, Universal Property & Casualty Insurance Company.
