CCA Wins Re-Bid of Contract From the State of Hawaii

CCA CXW announced today that pursuant to a competitive re-bid it has received a contract for the continued management of up to 1,956 inmates from the Hawaii Department of Public Safety primarily at CCA's 1,896-bed Saguaro Correctional Facility located in Eloy, Arizona. The contract, which commences on July 1, 2011, has a three-year term and contains two one-year renewal options. All other terms of the contract remain essentially the same as the current contract. Damon Hininger, president and CEO, stated, "We are pleased that our valued partner, the Hawaii Department of Public Safety, has again expressed its confidence in CCA by re-awarding us this contract. We believe our value proposition has enabled CCA to be a trusted and accountable partner to the state of Hawaii for thirteen years and we look forward to continuing our partnership."
