Watch out, Steve Jobs: the Windows maker is coming back with a vengeance.
If the hype surrounding Windows 8 isn't enough to satisfy your Microsoft MSFT dreams, perhaps this little tidbit from TechCrunch and Neowin will whet your appetite.
Microsoft is planning to open 75 stores in the next two to three years. This is a huge increase over the 11 existing outlets (12 if you count the time Microsoft built a store in a woman's house).
What does this mean for Apple AAPL? It means that Microsoft is gunning for the iPhone creator in every capacity. It seems that computers, crappy MP3 players, and fresh/exclusive technology were not enough for the company. Now Microsoft is invading Apple's territory in the retail space. What next? Could Skype make its way into Facebook, eliminating all hope that Apple could take over the video conferencing industry with FaceTime?
Oh, wait. That already happened.
It's a good thing Apple already convinced me to leave Windows for Mac or I might be really intrigued by these developments.
