Buckle July Comparable Store Sales up 6.8% YoY

The Buckle, Inc. BKE announced today that comparable store net sales, for stores open at least one year, for the four-week period ended July 30, 2011 increased 6.8 percent from comparable store net sales for the four-week period ended July 31, 2010. Net sales for the four-week fiscal month ended July 30, 2011 increased 9.4 percent to $64.7 million from net sales of $59.1 million for the prior year four-week fiscal month ended July 31, 2010. Comparable store net sales for the 13-week second quarter ended July 30, 2011 increased 8.9 percent from comparable store net sales for the 13-week second quarter ended July 31, 2010. Net sales for the 13-week fiscal period ended July 30, 2011 increased 12.6 percent to $212.4 million from net sales of $188.6 million for the prior year 13-week fiscal period ended July 31, 2010. Comparable store net sales year-to-date for the 26-week period ended July 30, 2011 increased 8.5 percent from comparable store net sales for the 26-week period ended July 31, 2010. Net sales for the 26-week fiscal period ended July 30, 2011 increased 12.2 percent to $452.5 million from net sales of $403.4 million for the prior year 26-week fiscal period ended July 31, 2010.
