American International Group, Inc. AIG announced today that Brian T. Schreiber, Executive Vice President, Treasury and Capital Markets, has been named to the additional role of AIG Treasurer. Mr. Schreiber is succeeding Robert A. Gender, AIG's Treasurer since 2005.
“Brian's leadership, in particular around AIG's restructuring and recapitalization, as well as helping AIG regain access to the public equity markets, has played a key role in our reemergence as an independent company,” said David L. Herzog, AIG Chief Financial Officer. “In his new role, Brian will be working closely with me as we execute on our capital management goals.”
During his 13-year tenure at AIG, Mr. Gender helped steer AIG Treasury through a most challenging time in AIG's history. Mr. Herzog concluded, “I want to thank Bob for his tireless commitment to AIG and offer best wishes in his future endeavors.”
