International Business Machines IBM dropped 6.88% to $169.52 after the company posted a lower profit in the third quarter and announced its plans to pay $1.5 billion to Globalfoundries to take over its chip unit. Koninklijke Philips N.V PHG shares declined 4.06% to $26.93 on Q3 results. Philips swung to a quarterly net loss of EUR104 million ($132 million), versus a year-ago net profit of EUR282 million. CSX CSX shares fell 3.40% to $32.71 after Canadian Pacific Railway CP confirmed the termination of exploratory talks with CSX. Canadian Pacific Railway CP shares dropped 2.14% to $195.23 following an announcement that exploratory conversations held with CSX about a possible business combination have ended.
