Shares of Aaron's, Inc. (NYSEL AAN) spiked higher Tuesday, on report from Reuters that it has rejected takeover approaches several times in the last 12 months from Rent-A-Center, Inc. RCII, according to sources. An Aaron's representative declined comment, while Rent-A-Center did not immediately respond to Reuters requests for comment. Aaron's shares rose 3% Tuesday, closing at $34.71, while Rent-A-Center shares rose 13.5%, closing at $30.71. XPO Logistics to Acquire Norbert Dentressangle for $3.53B The Deal:
XPO Logistics, Inc. XPO and Norbert Dentressangle SA announced Tuesday, that XPO Logistics will acquire a majority interest in Norbert Dentressangle and launch a tender offer for the remaining shares. The total transaction value is approximately €3.24 billion, including €1.08 billion of net debt. XPO Logistics shares rose $0.5 Tuesday, closing at $42.45. GoPro To Acquire Kolor The Deal:
GoPro, Inc. GPRO, announced Tuesday, an agreement to acquire virtual reality and spherical media solutions provider, Kolor. All Kolor employees will join GoPro and Kolor maintain operations at its Savoie, France headquarters. GoPro shares rose 4% Tuesday, and traded above $51.00 after-hours. Spectrum Brands Holdings to Acquire Armored AutoGroup for $1.4B The Deal:
Spectrum Brands Holdings, Inc. SPB announced Tuesday, it has agreed to acquire Armored AutoGroup Parent Inc. from Avista Capital Partners for $1.4 billion in cash and assumed debt. The deal is expected to close before the end of Spectrum Brands' fiscal Q3 on June 30, 2015. Spectrum Brands rose $0.49 Tuesday, and traded at $87.37 after-hours. ManTech Acquires Welkin for $34M The Deal:
ManTech International Corporation MANT has completed the acquisition of Welkin Associates, Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of CSC, for $34 million. ManTech will fund the acquisition from cash on hand. Mantech shares rose $0.18 Tuesday, closing at $32.20.
