The industries that are driving the market today are: Nonmetallic Mineral Mining: This industry moved up 2.7 percent by 10:30 am. The top performer in this industry was Rhino Resource Partners, L.P. RNO, which gained 22 percent. Rhino Resource Partners shares have dropped 91.80 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 7.26 percent in the same period. Building Materials Wholesale: The industry gained 2.2 percent by 10:30 am. The top performer in this industry was Louisiana-Pacific Corporation LPX, which gained 2.3 percent. Louisiana-Pacific's trailing-twelve-month revenue is $1.96 billion. Metal Fabrication: This industry rose 2.1 percent by 10:30 am ET. The top performer in this industry was Precision Castparts Corp. PCP, which gained 19 percent. Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (NYSE: BRK-A) agreed to acquire Precision Castparts in a transaction valued at $37.2 billion, including debt. Computer Peripherals: This industry jumped 1.9 percent by 10:30 am. The top performer in this industry was Mad Catz Interactive, Inc. (USA) MCZ, which rose 9.7 percent. Mad Catz is expected to report FQ1 results on August 13.
