Semiconductor- Memory Chips: This industry rose 4.3 percent by 10:30 am ET. The top performer in this industry was Micron Technology, Inc. MU, which gained 5.4 percent. Micron reported better-than-expected earnings for its fiscal fourth quarter.
Internet Service Providers: This industry moved up 2.3 percent by 10:30 am. The top performer in this industry was Spark Networks Inc LOV, which rose 0.3 percent. Spark Networks reported Q3 subscriber metrics. Total average paying subscribers slipped 23.5 percent to 197,109.
Major Integrated Oil & Gas: The industry gained 1.9 percent by 10:30 am. The top performer in this industry was BP plc (ADR) BP, which gained 2.6 percent. BP shares have dipped 27.49 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has slipped 2.24 percent in the same period.
