Worst Performing Industries For November 11, 2016


The Dow fell 0.15 percent to 18,780.00, while the NASDAQ composite index declined 0.17 percent to 5,199.93. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index dropped 0.43 percent to 2,158.12.

The worst performing industries in the market today are:

  • Electronics Stores: This industry slipped 3.4 percent by 11:00 am. The worst stock within the industry was Appliance Recycling Centers of America ARCI, which fell 4.9 percent. Appliance Recycling Centers of America shares have climbed 27.56 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 4.46 percent in the same period.
  • Telecom Services - Foreign: This industry declined 3.2 percent by 11:00 am with China Telecom Corporation Limited (ADR) CHA moving down 4.7 percent. China Telecom’s PEG ratio is 0.86.
  • Drugs Wholesale: This industry fell 2.2 percent by 11:00 am ET. McKesson Corporation MCK shares dropped 2.5 percent in today's trading. McKesson shares have dropped 19.61 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 4.46 percent in the same period.
  • Cement: The industry dropped 2 percent by 11:00 am. The worst performer in this industry was Eagle Materials, Inc. EXP, which declined 2 percent.
