The upcoming Benzinga Options Boot Camp, set to take place on June 26-27, 2020, will feature presentations from a line-up of options-trading experts and investors. Among the line-up is TradeZero.
TradeZero, an online broker, provides commission-free stock and options trading via web, mobile, and desktop trading platforms.
Daniel Pipitone, co-founder of TradeZero, will be joining Benzinga’s Options Boot Camp to talk about bidirectional trading and short selling 101.
Pipitone, who has started and run multiple broker/dealers over the past 20 years, will also be discussing trading technology and options trading with attendees.
“We would like to enlighten those members that may not know about shorting as a tool and/or strategy. Our presentation will hopefully de-mystify short selling and make it a bit more approachable,” said Pipitone.
The co-founder will provide a high-level overview of shorting stocks, as well as the mechanics behind it. His presentation will also cover the main pros, cons, and risks that accompany short selling.
“We have been preprogrammed to think that a stock going up is a good thing and going down is a bad thing. With the recent volatility, it is important for traders/investors to be at least minimally informed on what short selling is, and how they can use it effectively as a tool when making their investment and trading decisions.”
