General Motors GM shares are trading higher on Monday after Deutsche Bank added the stock to its short-term Catalyst Call Buy List and expressed its view that the company should spin off its electric vehicle operations.

GM has seven brands and operates under four segments: GM North America, GM International, Cruise, and GM Financial.

The company remains the market leader in the U.S. with 17% share in 2019.

General Motors shares were trading up 7.65% at $29.99 on Monday during the time of publication. The stock has a 52-week high of $39.78 and a 52-week low of $14.32.
