Ark Invest analyst Brett Winton on Sunday tweeted an image of Volkswagen AG VWAGY Group’s vehicle lineup by platform for the year 2020. The analyst said in a follow-up tweet, tagging Tesla, Inc. TSLA CEO Elon Musk that he counted 95 vehicles. Listing Tesla's Model S, 3, X, Y, Cybertruck, Robotaxi, Roadster, and Semi, Winton said “hard enough task keeping 8 well-mannered imv.”

Responding to the analyst, Musk made a forward-looking point. Self-driving cars will alone matter, he suggested. “Gas car without autonomy will be like riding a horse & using a flip phone,” Musk said. “That still happens, but it’s niche.”
