- Clorox Co CLX is recalling several of its Pine-Sol cleaning products after the U.S. consumer safety regulator discovered bacteria.
- The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) said that testing has identified bacteria in recalled products, including those produced between January 2021 and September 2022.
- According to the Commission, the recalled products may contain bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, an environmental organism found in soil and water.
- People with weakened immune systems or external medical devices exposed to Pseudomonas aeruginosa face a risk of serious infection that may require medical treatment.
- Clorox produced about 37 million recalled products in that period, it added.
- Price Action: CLX shares are down 1.36% at $138.55 premarket on the last check Wednesday.
