Meta Platforms Inc.’s META instant messaging app WhatsApp has released the highly-anticipated 'Do Not Disturb' mode support for missed calls.
What Happened: WhatsApp’s Do Not Disturb mode support for missed calls is now available for a few beta users.
To check if the feature is available for a particular WhatsApp account, users simply have to enable the Do Not Disturb mode and ask someone to voice or video call. If there’s a new label, “Silenced by Do Not Disturb,” then the feature has been enabled for that WhatsApp account.

Benzinga independently verified the feature. As soon as the option was activated, the label ‘Silenced by Do Not Disturb’ appeared, indicating that the feature was working.
Notably, the “Silenced by Do Not Disturb” indicator will only be shown to users receiving the call.
Why It’s Important: WhatsApp rolled out multiple new features in the past month. The platform unveiled the Communities feature globally. It is almost similar to Slack or Discord with an additional perk — end-to-end encryption.
The instant messaging platform also introduced a new in-chat poll system, an incredible tool to take several opinions into account. Users can now also conduct a 32-person video call.
