Why It's Important: Community Notes was formerly known as Birdwatch. The update could be a part of Musk's response to people questioning Twitter's moderation ability and trustworthiness.

Despite Musk addressing these concerns, many advertisers, including Mondelez International, the maker of Oreo cookies, and General Motors, have paused promotions on the microblogging site. Musk even lashed out at Apple over reports that the company was banning Twitter from the App Store.
