Elon Musk's Twitter is working on Twitter Coins, but it is not yet clear if the feature will be similar to Meta Platforms Inc.'s META Facebook Stars or TikTok Coins, or if it's a part of the now paused cryptocurrency wallet.
What Happened: Social media developer Nima Owji shared a screenshot on Twitter saying that the microblogging site is working on Twitter Coins. He further shared a logo of Twitter Coins, which appears almost similar to the iconic and highly coveted Twitter logo — but with a twist.

A Twitter user also asked if the feature was similar to Dogecoin, to which Owji said "who knows."

It is also likely that Twitter Coins are being introduced as a counterpart of Facebook Stars and TikTok Coins. Facebook Stars allows users to monetize their video and audio content, while TikTok Coins are the in-app currency of the video-sharing app.
