Twitter's Invite-Only VIT Tool Has Bunch Of Cool Features — Will Elon Musk Make It Available For All?

Social media commentator Matt Navarra highlighted a Twitter feature where users can engage with famous people — VIT’s, or Very Important Tweeters — via editorial content, events, campaigns and collaborations.

What Happened: Navarra shared a tweet highlighting the "invite-only app for VIP users." He said the VIP app has "very cool" features.

While saying that the tool is "not new" but "just very few people have access to it," Navarra also credited Twitter user Nicholas Mauro who had tweeted originally about the VIT feature.

The screen recording appeared to show features like Q&A, Hype and Instant Lock. The Q&A tool enables VIP users to communicate with their followers by responding with a text or video. Hype, as the name suggests, is used to promote a project by adding a URL, custom video and headline to tweets. Similarly, by offering exclusive content that can only be unlocked with a tweet, the Instant Lock feature may be utilized to encourage people to spread the news.

Why It's Important: In his tweet, Mauro said there are many valuable tools in the Twitter VIP app, which has been around for a few years. He added that making these features available for all users would be better.

At the time of writing, Twitter owner Elon Musk was yet to comment on the same.

Meanwhile, Twitter's highly-anticipated Blue subscription service is scheduled to launch on Monday. Last month, the relaunch of Twitter Blue was put on hold after the platform was flooded with verified but fake accounts.
