Benzinga Hosts Another Stellar Alternative Investing Event, Rounding Out A December Packed With Successful Events

Benzinga just wrapped another annual Alternative Investing Event on Wednesday, December 14th. The event brought together leaders and pioneers from the alternative investments space who were able to share their hard-won insights with participants.

Alternative investments provide retail investors access to opportunities traditionally reserved for institutions and high-net-worth individuals. These companies were able to shed light on some of the trends within the space, as well as their take on the broader macro picture.

The participants included:

Elevate.Money – a platform that allows retail investors to purchase fractional real estate.

Kickfurther – a platform that connects businesses in need of inventory with investors who help bridge the funding gap.

“It’s a marketplace where business and participants - we call them buyers - come together.” - David Koifman, Vice President of Sales. Erik Straub, Head of Product and Co-Founder, was also in attendance.

Realty Mogul - an online marketplace for investing in commercial real estate.

“Real estate has always been location, location, location. Our adage is people, people. people.” - Brian Sigler, Managing Director of Investor Relations 

Peak Group - an investment platform dedicated entirely to single-family rental projects.

“We are so early on in single-family rentals being an institutional asset class.” - Ryan Bowers, CEO. Joe Ollis, Chief Investment Officer, was also in attendance.

LEX Markets - a platform that allows commercial real estate to be bought and sold like a stock.

“It’s a pretty substantial change in how capital markets for real estate work.” - Alex Epstein, Associate in Real Estate Investment Banking

INX - gives everyone the opportunity to be angel investors in innovative companies through the use of digital tokens.
