Elon Musk Says Trump's Logic Behind Republicans Losing Midterms Is 'Mostly Accurate'

Elon Musk said former President Donald Trump is “mostly accurate” in his assertion that Republicans fared poorly in the midterms because they “poorly handled” the abortion issue.

What Happened: Musk reacted to a Truth Social post by Donald Trump —  shared by political commentator Ian Miles Cheong.

Cheong asked Musk, “Donald Trump says that Republicans lost the midterms because of pro-lifers who got their wishes granted by the Supreme Court and then didn't bother voting. Do you agree?”

In response, the billionaire said, “Mostly accurate tbh.”

Why It Matters: Trump had said in his post that “people that pushed so hard, for decades, against abortion, got their wish from the U.S. Supreme Court, & just plain disappeared, not to be seen again.”

Recently, Trump called Musk a hero despite their long-standing feud for releasing the so-called “Twitter Files.”

Musk has expressed support for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis as the 2024 Republican presidential candidate.
Trump and Musk have enjoyed a “love-hate” relationship but the latter has been spotted with Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner at the FIFA World Cup finals recently.
